He is an experienced executive who has made his mark in leading large digital and data driven transformations in various sectors like consulting, media, energy, health-care etc. He inspires organizations in different sectors, both public and private, with the possibilities of digital technology, concrete practical experience and, most importantly, lessons-learned of how to do it and how not to do it.<\/p>\n

After years of management consulting experience, he has been active in various Board roles in leading international media organizations (including Sanoma, Bertelsmann), where he has been at the basis of the disruptive digitalization and internationalization of traditional, online, but also ‘pure play’ digital brands. His digital knowledge and experience were at the basis of the highly successful international, digital, and data-driven strategy of innogy, and later E.ON in 15 countries, with an impact on 50 million customers.<\/p>\n
He currently provides his digital and data-driven knowledge and expertise in various Supervisory roles, including KPMG, ROM InWest, De KinderTelefoon and InnoBeweegLab.<\/p>\n
He regularly gives very highly rated lectures at major national and international events (re:invent, DDMA Data Day, European Utility Week etc), but is also a regular guest lecturer at various universities, including Nyenrode and St Gallen Business University in Switzerland, in order to share his digital expertise. Furthermore, he is also regularly asked to give specific lectures (e.g. to the broad senior management or CFO function) during inspirational events of organizations on the impact of digital technology.<\/p>\n
For his digital and innovative work in the energy sector, he was named “Most Innovative Executive of the Netherlands” by CIO Magazine in 2019 due to the massive social impact it had.
