Mart\u00ed Dom\u00ednguez is a polifacetic man. He can be described as a 21st century Renaissance figure. He combines his time between science and it\u00b4s dissemination and aims to improve the world as a teacher and writer. Nowadays, he is professor in Journalism at the Universitat de Val\u00e8ncia. At the same time, he is the editor in chief of M\u00e8tode magazine, a quarterly publication focusing on bringing science closer to the regular public. Being the editor in chief of M\u00e8tode, Mart\u00ed Dom\u00ednguez has been awarded with the National Journalism Award in 2007 given by the Culture and Media Department of Generalitat de Catalunya.<\/p>\n
As a scientist, he has a PhD in Biology by the Universitat de Val\u00e8ncia. His passion for Darwin has led him to become the director of the Biblioteca Darwin (Darwin Library), coordinated by both Laetoli and the Universidad P\u00fablica de Navarra – the organisation in charge of publishing the complete works of Charles Darwin to the Spanish Language.<\/p>\n
Nonetheless, Mart\u00ed Dom\u00ednguez has \u2013surprisingly- further time to dedicate to other activities. He has writen several books such as Les confid\u00e8ncies del comte de Buffon (The Confidences of the count Buffon) which, won the prizes Andr\u00f2mina, Crexells and Cr\u00edtica from the Universitat de Val\u00e8ncia. El secret de Goethe (Goethe\u2019s Secret) was also a prize winner: Prudenci and Cr\u00edtica from the Universitat de Val\u00e8ncia and El retorn de Voltaire (Voltaire\u2019s Return) was awarded with the Josep Pla prize, one of the most prestigious literary competitions in the Catalan Language.
