About Pamela Druckerman

Pamela Druckerman is the author of three books, including “Bringing Up Bébé: One American Mother Discovers the Wisdom of French Parenting,” an international bestseller that has been (or is being) translated into 21 languages. In the fall of 2013 she became a Contributing Opinion Writer for the International New York Times.

Her writing on cross-cultural issues has appeared in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair France, The Guardian, The Financial Times and many other publications. From 1997 to 2002 she was a staff reporter at The Wall Street Journal, based in Buenos Aires, São Paulo and New York, covering economics and politics. She has also reported from Tokyo, Moscow, Johannesburg and Jerusalem. Her first book was “Lust in Translation: Infidelity from Tokyo toTennessee.”

Pamela speaks regularly to audiences in Europe and the United States. She studied philosophy at Colgate University and has a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University.
